Christians talk about God guiding them to houses, careers and spouses. How can I find God’s will for me?

Carnal pragmatism would make this a matter of mere pros and cons, looking for what seems to work. Airy spirituality might speak of ‘the Lord’s leading’ but often reduces that to our own whims.

The Lord has given us the Word of God so that we might know what he requires of us. It is not uncommon to hear people complaining that they do not know what the Lord wants them to do when the real problem is that they do not want to do what they know the Lord wants.
