Some preaching is boring because of its substance. That is criminal. A gospel preacher deals with the mercy of God, the glory of Christ, heaven and hell, eternal life and everlasting damnation. It is inexcusable to preach boring sermons with such material. Choose stimulating topics. Preach great texts. Declare great truths. Use lively language, clear vocabulary, shorter words, concrete headings, and engaging stories and illustrations.
