King Charles III has reportedly been battling with the Church of England over the inclusion of multi-faith prayers for his coronation service.

According to the Mail on Sunday, church sources say the monarch wants a ‘diverse’ ceremony, including the reading of prayers by members of non-Christian faiths.

But the King has been told that this risks clashing with centuries-old canon law, which bars Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, and other faith leaders from reading out prayers during the service.
