Manchester Cathedral says sorry for allowing Muslim prayer in the nave

The leadership of Manchester Cathedral has apologised for allowing the Muslim call to prayer, known as the adhan, to be made at an interfaith event.

Church of England guidance says that the adhan should not happen in a consecrated space. But on this occasion, it took place in the nave of the cathedral.
