Movers and shakers

Ken Scott has been appointed as the new mission promoter for the Baptist Missions. Mr Scott, who with his wife Jeannie served with the organisation in Peru for eight years, will be helping churches get involved with Baptist Missions worldwide.

It’s been a good first quarter for WEST Theological Seminary, with three of its students receiving the call to work alongside churches in the UK. Jim Day, a final year BA (Hons) student has been called as pastor of Ingleton Evangelical Church in North Yorkshire from this summer. Paul Donovan, a final year BA (Hons) student has been called to HurstpierpointEvangelical Church, West Sussex, to serve as assistant pastor for two years from September 2010. He will work with Pastor Christ Bulled. Finally, Andy McKenna, a second year Binary student, has been called by Minster Christian Centre, Cardiff, to be its assistant pastor, working alongside Pastor Alex Collins.

The London School of Theology (not to be confused with London Theological Seminary!) has welcomed the Rev. Dr William Atkinson as an associate research fellow. He is pastor of the Elim Pentecostal Church in Braintree, Essex.
