Islamic State Mozambique (ISM) has claimed the recent murders of 11 more Christians in the north of the country.

During September, ISM carried out a series of attacks, beheading and shooting Christians and burning churches and homes. ISM took images to document its terrorist activity and published them on 30 September.

The Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium confirmed these killings took place from mid-September until the end of the month.

The worst-affected area was Chiure District, Cabo Delgado Province, where four believers were killed, four church buildings were burned. In Nampula Province, two churches and 110 Christian homes were burned, with more deaths recorded. ISM has claimed to have killed at least 37 Christians since July.
