A cross-party group of 79 MPs and Peers have called for a radical new abortion law to be delayed until an impact assessment has been published.

The new law, which decriminalises women in England and Wales who procure their own abortions up to the point of birth, is the most far-reaching change to abortion law in decades.

The cross-party group of parliamentarians has written to the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, and the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting.
