PTS Director of Ministry

The Protestant Truth Society has announced that Jeremy Brooks will be its first Director of Ministry. Mr Brooks is currently pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire. He is 33 years old and the son of Rev. and Mrs Richard Brooks.

Jeremy worked for six years with Evangelical Press and received ministerial training with the London Reformed Baptist Seminary. He was inducted to the Salem pastorate in April 2001. He is married to Lydia, daughter of Rev. and Mrs Malcolm Watts, and they have four children.

It is planned that Mr Brooks will begin PTS work in September and be based in the West Midlands. He will lead a team of five other Wickliffe Preachers: two full time in East Anglia and Wales, and three part time in Scotland, South West England and North West England.

PTS Chairman Rev. Gordon Murray said, ‘We are very pleased to be able to appoint a man of the spiritual calibre of Mr Brooks, who has a real vision for the work of the Society in maintaining our Protestant heritage and helping churches meet the challenges of today. We’re sure the church at Ramsey will be sad to lose their pastor, but we pray that the Lord will soon meet their need’.
