Raised hands and firearms

An Assemblies of God pastor in the US is inviting his congregation to bring their guns to church to celebrate the Fourth of July and the Second Amendment.

Pentecostal New Bethel Church in Louisville, Kentucky, is welcoming ‘responsible handgun owners’ to wear their firearms inside the church building. A church advert says there will be a handgun raffle, patriotic music and information on gun safety.

However, Rev. John Phillips, an Arkansas pastor shot while leading a service at his church in 1986, said a house of worship was no place for firearms.
