The chairman of the Church Society has called for the revitalisation of parish churches through individuals taking action to share the gospel with others.
Rev. Paul Darlington, a parish minister from Shropshire, spoke at a recent Church Society conference about revitalising parish churches with the gospel. He said, ‘The Lord Jesus Christ does not receive the honour he deserves in our nation’ and in order for us to honour him more, his followers should ‘engage in patient, joyful, compassionate ministry in every part of the country’.
He added: ‘You don’t have to be a particular kind of person to be in this sort of ministry. The one, holy and apostolic gospel is sufficient to build the one, holy, and apostolic church’.
