The December ET ‘Good News’ evangelistic supplement helped Trinity Reformed Presbyterian Church in Newtownabbey, County Antrim, reach out to its local community.

For the second year in a row, the congregation put together a gift pack for 1,000 local households which included the ET supplement, packets of biscuits, coffee, and tea sachets – along with a leaflet about the church with an invitation to visit it.

The congregation’s young people worked hard to put the gift packs together in a way which made it easy to put them through letterboxes.

A group of church members distributed the gift packs to local homes, which included new residents in the area who had moved into recently built homes.

The gift packs included a message: Please accept this free newspaper – with some goodies to enjoy while reading it! – as a gift from Trinity Reformed Presbyterian Church. We believe there are many people in our area who are searching for something that will make life more meaningful. We hope this newspaper will help you on that journey as you read about how others’ lives have been changed.

The Trinity congregation has had positive feedback to the gift packs, which are part of its regular outreach activities.

Attractively produced with a blend of gospel articles and inspiring testimonies, the ET evangelistic supplement is used by a growing number of churches across the UK as a Christmas outreach.
