A retired pastor from Northern Ireland who was convicted in criminal court for preaching a sermon on John 3:16 within an abortion buffer zone will likely appeal his case.

At the time of writing, Clive Johnston’s legal team had not yet officially announced an appeal against his conviction, but it is understood that is his intention.

On 7 May, District Judge Peter King convicted retired Pastor Clive Johnston, aged 78, giving him fines totalling £450 for breaching abortion ‘Safe Access Zones’ legislation.
