My wife and I attended the Medhurst Ministries weekend in Leeds, hosted by Caring For Life. We spent the weekend with brothers and sisters who are planting churches in hard places and ministering faithfully.
What could a first-generation immigrant like me have in common with the white British working class? The answer is that we do not fit the mould of white British middle-class church culture. It was encouraging to see families with children praising God together, and not only white British families, but also families of African-Caribbean heritage.
