This is, in essence, an excellent book on parenting – principled, practical, and peppered with little packets of wisdom. The author emphasises that bringing up our children is a weighty responsibility, carried out not in one’s own strength and wisdom, but rather in dependence on God to guide and help us in pointing our children into his way.
The style is lively and personal, if slightly jerky at times, and the author offers careful but insightful examples from his own parenting experience to flesh out the way in which he has tried to practise what he preaches.
