Pro-life campaigners and supporters of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) staged a demonstration outside Parliament in March.
The protest was scheduled for the same day the House of Lords was debating amendments to the Crime and Policing Bill which effectively decriminalises women who have an abortion up to birth.
The campaigners hoped to persuade the Lords to amend the bill before it was sent back to the Commons and passed into law.
