The author sets out eight signposts for Christian parents to follow when bringing up their children in a world that promotes the attitude that all you have to do is have confidence and you can achieve anything you want.

The book is very readable, but some of the examples given and the language are culturally American. It is part of a series that emanates from the Biblical Counselling Coalition.

The book sets out how to explain the gospel to your children, covering the basics, and it does that faithfully and biblically. I would certainly give the book to biblically literate new parents as it would give them confidence in knowing how to communicate the basic truths of the gospel in a faithful way.

However I don’t think it delivers what it says in the title. I was expecting more help on engaging with today’s culture.
