Controversial plans to bring forward a draft bill to ban conversion practices, which could criminalise pastors and parents who hold to the Bible’s teaching on sexual ethics, have been repeated in the King’s Speech.

The King’s Speech is delivered by the monarch at the state opening of Parliament, but it is written by the government of the day, and it sets out the agenda for the coming parliamentary year.
