A retired US Navy Seal has spoken out about the lasting damage caused to his body and mind after he was pushed towards transitioning into a woman.

According to reports from CNN and The Daily Mail, Chris Beck had a decorated 20-year military career, after which he started to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Beck was deployed 13 times and received more than 50 medals and ribbons for his service, including a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

However, while he was taking prescription medication for his PTSD, he said a psychologist affirmed his belief he might be transgender and prescribed him cross-sex hormones.

‘I walked into a psychologist’s office, [and] in one day I had a letter in my hand saying I was transgender.’
