When the church kneels – the Birmingham Conference explores the role of prayer

The 16th Birmingham Conference was held in March at Ebenezer Baptist Chapel, Old Hill. It was an encouraging time with powerful preaching and warm fellowship. Over 70 attended the main meetings.

Revd Timothy Nelson gave two powerful sermons on the vitality of prayer. His first was on ‘The Church – A People of Prayer’ from Acts 4:23-33.

His second address was ‘Epaphras – Working in Prayer’ from Colossians 4:12-13. We saw that his prayer was characterised by selfless prompting, striking passion, steady perseverance, and spiritual priority.
