Africa Christian Textbooks (ACTS) has called on Christians to pray about a series of difficulties facing some of its bookshops and mobile shop.
Without going into details, two of its branches are facing serious operational difficulties through no direct fault of their own.
According to its prayer letter, ‘In one case the landlord is refusing to honour an agreement to allow renovations paid for by ACTS to be credited towards our rent. In the other case, the seminary has been closed due to conflict within the staff. Pray for a resolution of both situations’.
Meanwhile, the mobile shop (book van) has not been repaired after a malicious attack. The newsletter called on supporters to ‘pray that we will be able to obtain the spare parts soon. This is a big concern, since many people are far from any of our bookshops and, as here in the UK, we depend on reaching out to pastors’ conferences and conventions to boost our sales’.
