Lloyd-Jones sermons

More than 1,600 recorded sermons of the late Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones have been made available for free on the MLJ Trust web site.
The trust, which is a US-based charitable organisation founded to promote Dr Lloyd-Jones’ ministry through the US, has uploaded all of the recorded sermons onto its online library.
The custodian of the audio library is the UK-based sister charity, MLJ Recordings Trust, and by joining the library for free, members can download whatever series of sermons they choose.
A statement from the MLJ Trust read: ‘This is a decision that the UK board has been wrestling with for a long time. By moving away from the sale of MP3 discs, and tapes before that, which has kept the Recordings Trust in existence for 30 years in God’s grace, it will become completely dependent on the voluntary donations of brothers and sisters who feel called to support the ministry while downloading sermons’.
In the end, however, and after much prayer and discussion, the UK charity felt the world of low-cost distribution through the internet was now far-reaching enough, that most people around the world can gain access to this ministry through a computer.
Also, as many other ministries have had a positive experience shifting to a voluntary donation approach to online sermons, the Recordings Trust and MLJ Trust felt that the timing for this was according to God’s will.
The statement added: ‘While there is some nervousness about such a big change, it is our most earnest hope, on both sides of the Atlantic, that this announcement will help us to fulfil the objective that has fuelled this ministry since its inception 30 years ago’.
The announcement was made at the US Together for the Gospel event, in front of an audience of more than 7,000.
