Redbourn thanksgiving

On Thursday 9 June, a thanksgiving service was held in Redbourn Methodist Church, and it was a joy to see nearly all the pews full.
About 90-95 people attended, including Pilgrims Friend Society’s (PFS) trustees, chief PFS executive Andrew Jessop, and directors and former trustees of the Redbourn Missionary Trust (RMT).
The singing was uplifting and there was a sense of serenity during the afternoon. The talks by Andrew Jessop and former RMT trustee Vernon Cobb were positive and encouraging.
Mr Cobb told of the RMT work from its inception to its merger with PFS. Mr Jessop said that working with RMT trustees had been a blessing. It was encouraging to see how the Lord is expanding the vision for this work.
The message was given by John McDonald from Deuteronomy 10:12-22. He urged us to remember what God is like. Moses made it clear that God loves us and shows his amazing grace to us.
After the service there were refreshments, which gave more time for fellowship.
