Ethics – Man becomes ‘elf’

June 2017

Argentine Luis Padron, 25, has spent the equivalent of £25,000 on trans surgery, enlisting the help of top surgeons to turn himself into an ‘elf’. The man, who says he considers himself ‘trans-species’, has had liposuction on his jaw, a nose job, full body hair removal and operations to change his eye colour.

This is a move in which many logically minded people would question the mental health of Mr Padron, who suffered extreme bullying as a child. Medically speaking, Mr Padron should be given help to overcome the trauma of this childhood bullying. But with the culture today pushing us all to accept ‘trans’ as normal, and affirming people’s right to reject their God-given body, the trans argument has now crossed from gender identity to one of species identity.

Mr Padron now has a £4,000-a-month ritual applying specialist creams, dyes, treatment and sunscreen. According to a report in The Daily Mail, he gets unusual looks, but says he does not care what people think and will not stop until he has fully transformed into an elf.

He is planning surgery to make his ears pointed, hair implants for a heart-shaped hairline and a limb lengthening operation to make him 6ft 5in tall.
