A pro-family leader in Mexico has been fined by a court and ordered to apologise every day for 30 days for ‘misgendering’ a politician.

Rodrigo Iván Cortés has been ordered to publish the court-written apology, along with the court ruling, on Twitter and Facebook daily for 30 days.

He has also been ordered to undertake a course on ‘gender-based political violence’ and to register on the National Registry of Persons Sanctioned in Political Matters against Women.
