It is encouraging to read the reports produced by mathematician Dr John Hayward showing that evangelical churches are growing, while churches that have abandoned the Bible are declining. If liberal churches are simply offering the same ‘progressive’ message as the world, it stands to reason that people won’t bother going to church. That should be a warning to us all not to get too comfortable with our culture, but rather to preach the gospel no matter how counter-cultural it may be.
